  • First I’d like to thank all of you who take the time to visit here and read these words.  Even if no one else ever gets anything out of this, you coming here has increased the time I spend seeking out God’s wisdom and thus my knowledge of and relationship with God is increasing.  Thanks and God Bless!

John 4:23  “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

“Believers render worship on behalf of a world which is not yet able or willing to worship.  God’s primary purpose for our salvation is not to make us witnesses but to make us worshippers.  The Lord wants to reveal to us His presence in the midst of our worship.  Then others, too, would make Him their Lord.”  (LaMar Boschman  “A Heart of Worship”)

Matt 5:16  “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

“When hypocrites and the half-hearted can dwell in our midst without being convicted or made uncomfortable, then something’s wrong.  God intends for His fire to so envelope the local church that hypocrites will not be able to stay, and the devout will not be able to remain unchanged.”  (Bob Sorge  “The Fire of Delayed Answers”)

Acts 2: 46-47  “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

“One fact stands out to me … those early Christians evangelized almost by accident.  Evangelism sprang out of throne-room encounters.  They were more conscious of God Himself than of evangelizing, and yet they evangelized.” (Gerrit Gustafson, “Worship Evangelism,” Charisma and Christian Life, Oct. 1991)

I long for the days when the church becomes such worshipers that Micah 4:1-2  becomes true:  “But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
